I came across this video with some super geeky guy describing his way to revive a laptop battery. I guess you could try it, too, if you've got an AC-DC converter from the sixties or seventies laying around.
I posted this mostly for its' entertainment value and don't recommend this approach to refreshing your laptop battery.
After watching this I’d just buy another battery or rebuild my Battery.
It plays like a friggin’ history lesson! I fell asleep halfway through it!
I felt the same way.:(
I guess I need to get a geek machine…lol
This guy is an idiot. I’ll bet he’s a wannabe EE.
This can be done using a car battery in place of the DC power supply…if you’ve got nerves of steel. Or brains of jello!
Nice informative video. Well, maybe not informative but entertaining anyways. I’ll recondition my laptop batteries with a more traditional and accepted method.
Nice enough guy, i like his expressions, but the video its self took ages longer than it needed to.
If I had a 30 volt power supply I would not have the first clue on how to use it. I’ll just stick with buying replacement laptop batteries and let the geeks try this stuff.
Man…this is one great video. This guy kept me entertained for the longest while and I kept laughing about it later in the day because I became preoccupied with it. It’s kinda like a tune that gets stuck in your head and won’t leave no matter how hard you try.
This guy is a moron. He does not have any idea what he’s talking about.
It is apparent that this guy doesn’t know anything about lithium batteries. Lithium batteries need a charge controller and a BMS for several cells because you’ll likely overcharge the battery. By charging the replacement laptop battery with pure DC you just screw up the operating life of the battery. You also may damage and electronics in the battery pack and present an explosion hazard.
The guy in this video is nuts…and stupid. He was driving me crazy with his replacement laptop battery charging process.
