DOG asked:

I have a new Sony Vaio and an HDMI cable and I'd like to connect it to my Mitsubishi Hi-Def 1080 TV set. However, the Mitsubishi gives me an error message saying it doesn't recognize the signal. What should I do? I'm trying to use the TV as a monitor for gaming.

One Response to “How can I connect a Sony Vaio to a TV with HDMI?”

  • Carlos Murawczyk says:

Connect the Sony Vaio to the computer input on the Mitsubishi television with a VGA cable just like you were setting up a desktop with a monitor. Then change the video input to select the correct ‘channel’ on the TV the same way you would when you switch the video input to watch a DVD.
