Acer notebooks in the US are supplied by Acer America Corporation whose corporate headquarters are in San Jose, CA. Acer America was established in 1977 as a subsidiary of Acer, Inc. of Taiwan.

Their notebook line consists of the Ferrari, the TravelMate, the Aspire and the Extensa. The Ferrari, their cutting edge laptop, is characterized by its' performance and its' ultra-portability. The TravelMate is geared towards the corporate and professional market and comes in a variety of configurations. The Aspire is targeted to the  business or home user and are noteable for their multimedia functions. The Extensa is a line of laptops designed for the general business market.
