I once read a news article where a whole truck caught fire because of a lithium-ion battery pack in it exploded. It was a very interesting read and caught my attention to some of the problems associated with replacement laptop batteries.

Poor Sony…it seems that recently they’ve been getting a lot of bad press. This time it’s for the OEM and replacement laptop batteries that they manufacture. Sony has a long history of providing quality products but their reputation is sinking with news releases like this one.

So now it looks like Dell is killing people as well as our economy. Actually, it may not be Dell’s fault at all, but the fault of the company that actually made the battery.
